The second concert in the Bach: Reverberations & Reflections series, SA Philharmonic performs Bach’s joyous Easter Oratorio together with the San Antonio Chamber Choir and The Children’s Chorus of San Antonio along with other magnificent works from the Baroque period, including Manuel de Zumaya’s Celebren, Publiquen at Our Lady of the Lake Sacred Heart Chapel. ABOUT THE SAN ANTONIO CHAMBER CHOIR
The San Antonio Chamber Choir (SACC) is completing its twentieth anniversary season. SACC has provided art of the highest professional quality through choral music and singing. The ensemble is made up of professional singers, originating from San Antonio and surrounding areas, which sets the choir apart from the many choral singing groups that San Antonio has to offer. Many of the singers are active performers or music educators throughout the San Antonio area. SACC members have worked passionately to engage with all areas and peoples of the San Antonio community with concert offerings, summer choir camps, and weekly gatherings of the Alamo City Street Choir which serves many unhoused neighbors. Under the current direction of Artistic Director, Richard Bjella, SACC singers apply their musicianship and diverse experiences to elevate the choir to new heights of excellence. SACC was founded in 2005 and since then has offered concert experiences in exquisite venues throughout the state of Texas.
