Scheherazade: A Literary Adventure – Sept/Oct 2022

Take a magic carpet ride into the world of wise Queen Scheherazade!  This Language Arts-themed program will feature excerpts from the literary classic, 1,001 Nights (Arabian Nights).  Discover how master composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov paints these imaginative fairy tales into a beautiful symphonic adventure!  Through TEKS-aligned preparatory activities and teaching materials, students will also learn new vocabulary using context clues and about literary elements such as character types, conflict, theme and moral lessons.

Reservations open only to host school districts through Sept. 6.  Other public school districts may reserve for select performances beginning Sept. 7 at 7:15 am.
