Stephanie Westney, DMA

Parliamentarian, Violin

Dr. Stephanie Teply Westney is Professor of Instruction at The University of Texas at San Antonio and is a violinist in the Sunriver (Oregon) Music Festival. She was a tenured member of the San Antonio Symphony since 2005. She held the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Violin and Viola and Director of the Community Music Academy at Texas Lutheran University and was Instructor of Viola at San Antonio College. She is currently President-Elect of TexASTA (Texas Chapter of the American String Teachers Association) and on the Editorial Board of the American String Teacher Journal. Stephanie holds degrees from The University of Texas at Austin, Yale University and Vanderbilt University and also is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy.
